At Norwich Aesthetics Clinic we offer a range of injectable treatments using both anti-wrinkle injections (Botox) and dermal fillers. Please use the list below to skip to areas you are interested in:

Botox

Botox

Anti-wrinkle injections - These work by relaxing muscles, smoothing the skin and reducing both fine and deeper lines. The most popular areas we treat are frown lines, forehead lines and crow's feet. It can also be used to minimise underarm sweating and reduce the appearance of a wide jaw

Derma filler

Dermal fillers

Dermal fillers are an injectable gel comprised of hyaluronic acid,  a natural component of the skin that diminishes as we age. Dermal filler injections can be used to restore volume, reshape, and produce a lifting effect to reduce the ageing of the face.

Midface Rejuvenation

One of the key factors that contribute towards ageing is loss of volume in the cheek areas.
When cheeks lose volume, the skin naturally moves downwards and inward which is why lines such as the nasolabial folds and marionette lines become more prominent.

This is why, when we target the mid face, we often consider cheek filler along with filler directly into these lines.

Midface Rejuvenation

This patient has been treated with a total of 3ml of filler in her checks and nasolabial folds. This has restored her cheek volume, helping to lift out her nasolabial folds and creating a more desirable V shape to her face.

Lower face Rejuvenation

Lower face rejuvenation

A combination of loss of skin elasticity and loss of volume in the midface can also contribute towards ageing of the lower face. This is demonstrated by jowl development and by loss of definition of the jawline

In these cases it's often important to address both the midface and lower face. By using dermal filler to restore the midface (as seen in the cases above) and address multiple points along the jawline, we can achieve a lift of the lower face and improvement of the jowl area.

Both patients above have had dermal filler treatments to tighten their jawlines and lift their jowls.

Individual areas

Dermal fillers are also used to specifically target different areas of the face. The aim of these targeted treatments are to enhance or restore specific facial features. They can be used in (but are not limited to) the following areas:

Cheeks

Cheeks

The cheeks are the 2 points at the top of the V shape that creates the framework for your lower face. If you lose volume in your cheeks, the supporting aspect of this framework is reduced and leads to laxity of the skin below it. The cheeks are one of the earliest areas that start to reduce in size with ageing. This is why cheek fillers are beneficial not only to replace diminishing cheek volume, but to help lift the lower aspect of the face.

Tear trough

Tear Trough

Unlike many other areas of the face, the tear trough can be deficient in volume from a young age. This can cause you to appear tired and/or you may appear to have dark circles under your eyes.

Nasolabial Folds (aka smile lines)

Nasolabial folds can be prominent from a young age or can develop over time. They are caused by loss of volume in the area itself, the cheeks, and loss of elasticity of the surrounding skin and soft tissue. This is why when we treat the nasolabial folds, we often consider treating the cheeks as well.

Lip fillers can be used to enhance the natural shape of your lip, restore volume that had been lost with age and correct any asymmetry. We always aim for subtle, natural results with our lip filler treatments.

Smokers

Top lip lines (aka smokers lines)

Despite their name, these lines can appear in anyone, not just smokers and ex-smokers. They are caused by the repetitive movement of pursing your lips together as well as environmental factors such as sun exposure. They can be effectively reduced by using micro droplets of dermal filler to help improve each individual line. We always advocate a dental block to make the procedure as comfortable as possible.

NSR

Nose (Non-surgical rhinoplasty)

The nose can be injected with dermal filler to correct several different issues. These are: a bump on the bridge of the nose, a dip in the middle of the nose and a downward turning nose tip. Unlike a surgical rhinoplasty, there is minimal downtime and the results last 12-18 months.

Marionette lines

Marionette Lines

The marionette lines are the lines that appear at the side of the mouth and continue downwards, sometimes all the way to the chin. These can be softened by using dermal filler to support the outer aspect of the lines, stopping them folding over as prominently.

Chin

Chin

Chin filler can be used to extend outward or downwards a chin that is relatively small from either the front or profile views. It can also be used to help pull the jawline forwards which reduces jowls.

Jawline

Jawline

The jawline, often treated at the same time at the chin, can be sharpened to improve definition and contour. Treating the jawline can help to reduce jowls and enhance the angle of the jaw where necessary.

Jaw slimming

Masseter Botox

Teeth grinding can enlarge the masseter muscle, which is one of the muscles in the jaw used to chew and can lead to chipped teeth, headaches, earache, TMJ dysfunction and jaw pain. Botox is a really effective way of relaxing the muscle and bringing relief from the painful symptoms. It also has the added benefit of helping to slim the face by reducing the size of the muscle as seen below.
