What is Microneedling?
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, stimulates your skin’s natural renewal process to improve its texture, firmness and overall appearance.

The treatment uses fine, sterile needles to create thousands of tiny, controlled micro-injuries. These activate the skin’s repair response, encouraging fresh collagen and elastin—the proteins that give skin its strength and flexibility.

As the skin gradually remodels, it can feel smoother and firmer, with a visible improvement in fine lines, uneven texture and acne scarring.

Stimulating collagen is also at the heart of ‘collagen banking’—a proactive approach to supporting your skin as it ages
Collagen Facts
Collagen is lost from the skin at a rate of 1-2% per year

Women lose 30% of their skin's collagen within the first 5 years of menopause

Microneedling increases collagen production by 200-400%

This visibly improves the skin in a matter of weeks but can also be utilised in the form of 'collagen banking'

What is
'Collagen Banking'
Collagen banking is a concept that involves taking proactive steps to preserve and boost your skin collagen levels in early life with a view to maintaining a youthful appearance as you age.
By stimulating your body to produce extra collagen when it is able to efficiently do so, you can preserve skin health and delay visible signs of ageing such as fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin

To attain effective collagen banking, our recommendation is three microneedling treatments a year.
Collagen Banking by the Decade
20s - 30s

This is the best time time to increase your collagen levels as your body is still able to produce collagen at optimal levels

40s
This focuses on rebuilding lost collagen and preventing further degradation. It is still a very effective way of maintaining and boosting collagen

50s
This focuses on rebuilding lost collagen with more of a focus on restoring the skin structure and firmness

60s
This focuses on regeneration and is best used in combination with other collagen stimulating treatment such as polynucleotides and laser
